Fit for 55 / REPowerEU

As part of the Fit for 55 package the European Commission has published a proposal for revision of the Renewable Energy Directive. The proposal introduces obligations to implement so-called renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) which in practice basically means renewable hydrogen from electrolysis. In addition to obligations for the heating and cooling sector and the transport sector, the proposal also introduces obligations for the implementation of renewable energy in the industry. Recently, two studies have been published on the impact of the of the RFNBO-obligations for the industry and the transport sector for the Netherlands. In this meeting  VoltaChem’s Sam Lamboo, (Scientist) and Marcel Weeda (Senior Consultant) will present and discuss the background of the obligations and the results of these studies.
