Webinar Upscaling hurdles and perspectives on electrochemical CO2 conversion
12-09-2024 | Online
Electrochemical conversion of CO2 into valuable products is one of the key strategies to build a sustainable chemical industry. However, despite a fast-growing research field and a wide industrial interest, electrochemical CO2 conversion technologies are still at relatively early stage of development, with several knowledge gaps ranging from catalyst formulation, to reactor and process design.
On 13th June 2024 TNO has gathered nearly 80 experts from industry and academia for a technical workshop to discuss the main upscaling challenges and perspectives on low-temperature CO2 electrolysis. This webinar will summarize main take-aways from this technical workshop and cover aspects such as multiscale modelling, catalyst stability, reactor and component engineering, process design and economics.
Presenter
The open webinar will be given by Michele Tedesco, senior scientist in Electrochemical engineering at TNO with experience in electrochemical CO2 capture and conversion, flow batteries, and electricity-driven separation for chemical industry.
