Plasma technology: a game changer for the chemical industry? (online talk show)
04-11-2021
November 18th
VoltaChem is organizing an interactive online talk show on Thursday November 18th from 11.00 – 12.30 (CET). The topic: 'Plasma technology as a game changer for the chemical industry'.
This is the last of four online talk shows in 2021 that will provide a deep dive into key developments in industrial electrification. In this edition, the focus will be on plasma technology- a promising upcoming Power-2-X technology that could play an important role in speeding up the decarbonization of the chemical industry towards 2030 and 2050. Can electricity-powered plasma technology really become a game changer in high-value chemicals production?
This is one of the questions that will be discussed in the talk show studio by experts from industry and academia, including Jeff Mason (Transform Materials), Sander van Bavel (Shell), Leon Jacobs (SABIC), and Hans Linden (Brightsite). Under guidance of host Jerre Maas and co-host Reinier Grimbergen (VoltaChem) they will talk about topics like the current state of plasma technology, expected developments in the short and long term, opportunities for application in industry and the associated business case, potential bottlenecks, and more.
The talk show will be broadcast live from the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Sittard-Geleen (NL), the location of the Brightsite Plasmalab that will be officially opened on the same day.
