3 new members

Every VoltaChem member is displayed on VoltaChem's website in the member section. This is how the three companies present themselves:

  1. Hydron Energy
Hydron Energy is a start-up company focussing on the development and marketing of innovative hydrogen generation technology based on the electrolysis of water. The company designs and develops low cost & high efficiency electrolysers based on polymer electrolyte membrane technology. Hydron Energy envisions an future in which onsite hydrogen production and utilisation are key enabling technologies for the incorporation of the steadily increasing share of renewables in the energy mix.

Sander ten Hoopen, director: "The VoltaChem program offers Hydron Energy a platform to work together which professionals from various industries and knowledge institutes. VoltaChem gives us the opportunity further develop the requirements for our electrolysis technology in order to capture the emerging market for sustainable hydrogen production.”

  2. Proton Ventures
Proton Ventures wants to be the leading partner for decentralized ammonia and / or NFUEL production units in the world. Our goal is to be an innovative partner for storage of liquefied gasses and other chemicals in a safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally acceptable way. We enable and support our partners to develop applications based on sustainably produced NFUEL.

Bob Weehuizen, Project Engineer: "Proton Ventures is already many years active in promoting the decentral production of ammonia. Due to large amounts of renewable energy the need for storage of energy will increase largely the coming years. Also there is a need for more carbon free fuels. Electrolysis of water and then making ammonia of the produced hydrogen is a good solution for these challenges. VoltaChem supports the electrification of the chemical industry and can help Proton Ventures to achieve its goals."

  3. Aramco Overseas
Aramco is a world leader in integrated energy and chemicals. Our European offices support a wide range of activities, from facilitating the safe and reliable delivery of energy to customers around the globe, to pushing for breakthroughs in research and innovation. Our presence in Europe stretches back over 60 years, in which we have evolved from a services company to a knowledge based enterprise, with six locations throughout the region, each with its own area of focus. It’s our people, our energy and our commitment that makes us a true catalyst for opportunity.

Tony Picaro Proces Engineer: "Aramco joins the VoltaChem community through shared interests in energy management, hydrogen production and CO2 utilization - with a view to acquire research and technology capabilities and facilitate discoveries. Aramco is looking to develop networks with relevant organizations, participate in collaborative R&D projects and remain in touch with current developments in areas of mutual interest for ourselves, VoltaChem and the wider energy community."
